Foretold: From Earth

Foretold is a way of playing narrative story games driven by a series of prompts; following in the footsteps of games like For The Queen, Women Are Werewolves and In a Wicked Age, the prompts for the story are determined by drawing cards from a deck. You can use any ordinary deck of playing cards with a Foretold game, with the only additional materials needed being these rules to guide you through the game-play. Foretold typically works best with 3-5 players.

This iteration of Foretold is a story of hope, wonder and the exploration of the heavens, weaving a tale that starts with a message from space and ends with the exploration of a new & strange world. After the people of Earth detect a transmission coming from a distant planet, a mission is put together to reach the source of the message and reply to it. You might carry a message of peace, a declaration of war or something else entirely, it’s up to you to explore your mission’s purpose and determine how it ends.
